Discover what nature has to offer

We can highly recommend a picnic to Idhults nature Reseve. You will find a unique flora with stunning views. You can hire canoe or rowing boats for the lakes. The beatutiful lakes offer exellent fisching conditions. You can borrow bicycles. To hike, cycle or get out on the lakes an enjoy - it is pure healing for the soul.

Four Your active stay

Nice-Weather-Days: Rent a rowboat (maximum 4 persons/boat) or a canoe (maximum 3 persons/boat). The renting price includes paddles, life jackets, as well as a box. We sell fishing permits, and we have fishing rods, as well as proposals for wonderful boat-, bike- and hiking tours. We also have maps. Bikes for five persons are available, and if more bikes and/or boats are needed, there is a good chance we can arrange that.

Bad-Weather-Days: You can borrow some games. We have a lot to choose from. 

In Spring

Discover the beauty of the nature. One speciall place, high upp is Idhult, were you can find a rare fauna for example the orchids “Adam und Eva“. Take a picknicbasket with you a sunni day and enjoy the marwellous wiew.

In Sommer 

On Suturdays before Midsummer we have the well known outdoor market with sales stands and a music orchestra. There are many excursion options in our local area (Kinda Council) such as the the going to world of the famous Swedish  for children writer Astrid Lindgren (only 50 km away)

 

You can visit "old town" of Linköping (about 65km north) really worth seeing with old houses, gardens and museums. Here you can eat and picnic or buy sweets or chocolate from fameous factory Cloetta. 

 

Just a few meter away from Villa Rosenäng you can take a refreshing swim in the lake Björkern, and just a short walk away you find another bath; Valö an island with beach, diving tower and a summer café.  To go by cycle is probably the best way to discover the countryside.

Björkfors  has god fishing waters sourounding us, but we are also closely situated to the border of the Swedisch province Småland. Not far from us you can go fisching for rainbow fish or in some of all the other natural waters, for perch and pike. And good spots for climbing!

In autumn

Björkfors is surrounded by forests and lakes so it isn´t far to gather mushrooms and berries. We can arrange hunting and Cray fishing

In winter

In the wintertime you can take nice walks, winterfishing, skiing or skateing, bathing when you use the lokal sauna. Why not reserve the sauna for yourself and your partner or friends on a Saturday night. It is magic. We can arrange something to eat and drink at the same time.

The neighbour town Kisa is only 25 km/20-25 minutes away from Björkfors. Here you can find ´the slalomhang/downhill skiing , with a lift system.You can hire skies or skates, grill sausages or shop in the kiosk or take lunch in the resturang. You can even skate on our lokal lakes next to Villa Rosenäng when the weather conditions allow.

Fishing the whole year around

You can go fishing, in two lakes, one of each side of the house and many more at short distans.
